1. Block and unblock email addresses in AT&T Yahoo Mail
Save time while browsing through your mailbox by clearing out the unwanted email. AT&T Yahoo Mail lets you anonymously add up to 1000 email address to your blocked list, or remove them if you change your mind.
Block email addresses
• Open an email or select it from your mailbox.
• Click the More icon Image of the More icon..
• Click Block Senders.
• Optionally, select to also delete emails you've received from the sender.
• Click Ok.
Unblock email addresses
• Click the Settings icon Image of the Settings icon. | click More Settings Image of the More icon..
• Click Security and Privacy.
• Mouse over an email address and click the Delete icon Image of the Delete icon.
2. Manage spam and mailing lists in AT&T Yahoo Mail
Getting unwanted emails or spam is frustrating. While most of spam emails are being caught by our spam filters, occasionally some can slip through.
When this happens, it's very important to mark the email as spam, then our system will learn that messages from a specific place are not good and helps us make AT&T Yahoo Mail even better at recognizing future spam emails.
- Mark emails as Spam
• Select the email.
• Click Mark as spam.
• This will move the message into the spam folder.
- Mark emails as Not Spam
• Open the Spam folder. If you don't see the "Spam" folder, click More below the "Sent" folder.
• Select the email.
• Click Not spam to move the message into your inbox, and future messages from this sender will be delivered to the inbox.
- Unsubscribe from sender
When you mark a message from a mailing list as spam and we trust the sender, you will be given the option to unsubscribe rather than marking it as spam.
Select Unsubscribe and you will no longer receive any messages from the mailing list. Selecting Report as spam will mark the message as spam and move it into the spam folder.
- Tips to avoid spam in the future
• Don't reply to unknown senders.
• Be careful who you give your email address to.
• Never reply to email subscriptions asking to be removed.
• Don't sign up with sites that claim to remove your email from spam lists. While some are legitimate, many are address collectors used by spammers.
3. Use full headers to find delivery delays or an email’s true sender in AT&T Yahoo Mail
An email’s full headers include information about how it was routed and delivered as well as information about the true sender of the email. View the full headers to find out where an email was delayed or who really sent an email with a forged address.

Are you getting emails from an email address you blocked? Not sure if an email is really from who it says it is? An email sender can forge false information to make it look like the email came from a different address than it really did, find the true information in the full header.
Find the true address
• View the full header as described above.
• Compare the bottom From: address to the address in either the Received or Mailfrom field.
The real sending email address is in the top-most Received or Mailfrom field.
Block or filter the true email address
Now that you have the true email address you can block or filter it.
• Set up filters to automatically send these messages directly into folders, like Trash.
• Block an address so you don't receive emails from it.
- See where an email was delayed
Delivery records in the full headers show when each computer received the message. The first delivery is at the bottom; the newest at the top. If you find a large time gap between delivery records, that shows which computer delayed before sending it to the next computer.
• View the full header as described above.
• Find one or more lines that say "Received." These are delivery records.
• Review these records to identify any delays.
Example - "mta1682.yahoo.com" received the message from "mta2009.yahoo.com" with a delay of about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Delete 1 or more messages
• Select 1 or more messages by checking the boxes next to the email.
